REVIEW COURSES
The University of Loyola at CNMI offers review courses of six months each: English as a Second Language (ESL) course; the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) review course for nurses; United States Medical Licensure Examination (USMLE) review course for doctors of medicine; and North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) review course for pharmacists.
Classes for the review courses may start every month as long as there are 50 students enrolled per class.
English as a Second Language Course
Students from foreign countries where English is not the official language can enroll in the six-month English as a Second Language (ESL) course. Classes will be held at the University of Loyola at CNMI on Saipan.
Students with different levels of English knowledge will be admitted and separated into different classes and categories.
The objective is to assist the students in passing the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
At the end of the six-month English course, students will take the TOEFL or IELTS.
After passing the English test, the foreign students may advance to other courses offered by the University of Loyola at CNMI, including courses in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, or business. Nursing students can also advance to the NCLEX review program after taking the English review course.
The English review course costs $14,000, which is to be paid at the beginning of the course.
The University of Loyola at CNMI is working with medical and nursing colleges in China and South Korea for special pricing and payment plans for Chinese and Korean students.
NCLEX Review Course
The University of Loyola’s six-month NCLEX review course on Saipan provides nursing students a review of the fundamentals of nursing and theoretical knowledge of the different specialties of nursing, including pediatrics, obstetrics, geriatrics, medicine and surgery, psychiatry, community nursing, etc., with emphasis on topics important for passing the NCLEX.
The nurses are given practice exams that are similar to the actual NCLEX.
At the end of the sixth month, the nurses will take the NCLEX on Saipan.
Results of the NCLEX will be known a few days after the date of the examination.
The NCLEX review course costs $14,000, which is to be paid at the beginning of the course.

USMLE Review Course
Passing the United States Medical Licensure Examination (USMLE) is required among doctors of medicine to be able to practice their profession. The University of Loyola offers a six-month USMLE review course for doctors of medicine who have not taken or passed the licensure examination.
Under the program, students are given a review of the fundamentals of medicine, basic sciences, and theoretical knowledge of the different specialties of medicine, including pediatrics, obstetrics, geriatrics, surgery, and psychiatry, etc., with emphasis on topics important for passing the USMLE.
Students are given practice exams that are similar to the actual USMLE.
The University of Loyola provides a NAPLEX review course for pharmacists who have not taken or passed the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX).
Pharmacy students are given a review of the fundamentals of pharmacy, basic sciences, and theoretical knowledge of the different specialties of pharmacy, with emphasis on topics important for passing the NAPLEX.
At the university, students are given practice exams that are similar to the actual NAPLEX.
Medical Technology Examination review course
Passing the Medical Technology Examination is required among medical technologists to be able to practice their profession. Our MTE review course provides the students with lectures on the fundamentals of medical technology, basic sciences and theoretical knowledge of the different specialties of medical technology, with emphasis on topics important for passing the MTE.
Under our six-month review course, students are given practice exams that are similar to the actual U.S. Medical Technology Examination.
National Physical Therapy Examination review course
The review course is given to students who have not taken or passed the United States National Physical Therapy Examination (USNPTE). Students are given a review of the fundamentals of physical therapy, basic sciences, and theoretical knowledge of the different specialties of physical therapy with emphasis on topics important for passing the examination.
Students are given practice exams that are similar to the actual U.S. National Physical Therapy Examination.
