The University of Loyola at CNMI is located on the fourth floor of the Marianas Business Plaza (formerly the Nauru Building) in Susupe, Saipan. The university, the biggest tenant in the eight-story premier office and commercial building, occupies the entire fourth floor for its classrooms, library, computer laboratory, administrative offices and other facilities.
The administrative offices are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
We have 10 classrooms, including a computer laboratory and a skills laboratory, along with administrative offices and a conference room.
We have over 30,000 reference books, textbooks, periodicals, journals, magazines and newspapers in our library to help you in your studies. The library is divided into two rooms: One is for the books, and the other is for journals, periodicals, magazines and newspapers. Students can bring their laptop computers in the library room where the books are. The university provides students free Internet access on campus. Both library rooms are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Car parking in the areas surrounding the Marianas Business Plaza is free of charge. However, students who bring cars are advised not to park in areas designated for specific agencies and offices.
Our facility is equipped with backup power generator. This means that classes will go uninterrupted, with or without power from the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.
With offices and classrooms at the Marianas Business Plaza, the University of Loyola at CNMI is strategically in the middle of major activities on Saipan.
It is a walking distance from the CNMI’s biggest public library (Joeten-Kiyu Public Library), the main police station (Department of Public Safety), the judicial complex (CNMI Superior Court or Guma Hustisia), a major sports facility (Ada Gymnasium), major hotels (World Resort Saipan, Saipan Grand Hotel), and a major shopping area (Joeten Susupe Shopping Center). The building that houses the university also has the famous revolving restaurant called “360” on the eighth floor and the “Gentle Brook” restaurant on the ground floor.
The University of Loyola at CNMI is planning to construct its own building on a 38,000-square meter leased government property on Navy Hill, adjacent to the government-owned Commonwealth Health Center on Saipan.
The plan includes the construction of walkways between the two facilities to provide medical and nursing students easier access to CHC. The new facility, estimated to cost $20 million, will include laboratories, dormitories and a 2,000-seat auditorium.
